The rhymes in "You're the reason. . .are positively delicious as is the irony in the first cut, but I fear lots of people aren't going to get it. "The Other Side of Free" sounds like a true story and is positively lovely as is the philosophical statement in "In the Cage." This week I am notified a small university press wants to see my book. I feel we are both long overdue.

Dave, I know this thank-you is late but thanks for the donation of your music, time and heart on behalf of the most vulnerable of our population, the children. I particularly liked: Her Body Wont Lie, The Edge, Devil Didn't Get your Soul, Angels Whisper and Listen to the River.
Each of these songs in my personal rating system of 1 to 4 stars either got a 3 or 4, which leads to airtime for my show, The Acoustic Revival...I also liked Fear, but......So again, thanks....for the fine music!

I had to send you a follow up email about your visit to Acoustic back in January. You really touched the heart of one of our members in particular. She purchased your CD that night. Since then, she has brought your CD to one of our Sharing Nights. Our Sharing Nights are when everybody brings their current favorite song on CD/i-pod and we listen to each others’ music. She also has referenced you a couple of other times, and last night when we were doing a sing along type night, she asked if I knew any of your songs to play and said you are her favorite singer.
Thank you again for your engaging performance and your ability to really connect with our audience!!

I saw you playing at Borders in Davenport, IA, you did really really good, I'm not too much into country or folk, but I'll give you credit that you impressed me. At one point during a break you came up and talked to me. That was a pretty nice conversation, thanks for taking the time to do that, and thank you for informing me about the songwriting get together thing. Thanks for the CD man, I've really been enjoying it and I'm listening every chance I get. I want to tell you that I'm really proud of you. Not only for this beautiful recording, but for being the man you are in order to attract all the other talented people to be part of such a special project. It's an achievement you can be really proud of - you've set the bar pretty high for your next one! The production is absolutely outstanding and your choices in that regard were first rate. To my ears it sounds like something you might attribute to a Daniel Lanois acoustic project, and that's some pretty good company! I love the sparseness and the orchestration and the way your grooves have been not only captured but featured. Our song sounds amazing, and I love everything about it. Great work!
